TJ's first McDonald's experience

As I try and catch up on my blogging, I am pathetically going back several months. But some of these memories must be shared! A few months ago, Amy asked me to go with her to her ultrasound appointment. She was to find out whether she was giving TJ a brother or a sister. The verdict is in. (I have to add that my prediction was right.) My sister is having a GIRL !!!!! How exciting! She is due the beginning of June.

After the appointment we went to the mall only to find NOTHING we really liked. My sister admits shopping is NOT her thing, but she appeased me anyway & went shopping. :)

Afterwards we ate at the food court. Nothing exciting I know. But, it was TJ's first McDonald's experience. He is absolutely hilarious. The faces he makes send me giggling.

Amy's a good mom who doesn't normally let TJ eat that junk, but there were not many choices. TJ loved the fries and the apple pie.

He even got his first junk toy from the big MC! I call those toys junk because, uh...they are. He liked it and even shared it with his mommy.

The day was way too fun, and I was so happy Amy let me share in it.

Oh, it's the little things in life that keep us going. Thanks for sharing this experience. It makes me remember when I first took my oldest girl to McDonald's. Her little hands wrapped around the bag of french fries is an image I don't ever want to forget. I'm also glad to hear that I'm not the only one out there who sees the toys as junk.

Hi Lori, it's Sonia Garcia. I was just going through your blog and I have to tell you that it was pure inspiration that I came across your blog today. For the last couple of days I've had this nagging feeling that there's someone, or a family that needs our help. Reading your entry about what you did for that homeless man hit me dead on. You are a gifted writer, but most importantly, an example. Thank you for your words!!! We sure miss our Hanover family.
