The best grocery deal in town!!!

You know, the Lord has a sense of humor. One minute I am deciding, "Oh, I want to help the homeless." The next minute I'm faced with, "Um, my husband just lost his job. How long will our money last? How long will our food last? How long will my sanity last? Are we going to be homeless?" Just kidding. I would like to believe that would never happen with all the family and friends that we have. I just find the timing in it all to be a little off. It is almost as if Heavenly Father was preparing me by having me focus on those who REALLY HAVE NOTHING. He knew I would be freaked out of my skull when Lonnie lost his job. (It was Jan 5 to be exact.) I was initially freaked, but my husband was SO DEPRESSED that I had to pretty much keep myself together. It will be 6-8 weeks till we find out if he will receive unemployment compensation. So many people are looking for jobs that it is unreal! Lonnie just keeps saying, "Everything is going to be ok." I believe in my husband and have to take comfort in his words. I think there is SO MUCH to be learned and gained by having him home until he finds another job. That's a whole other show though. :)

Anyway, after this happened one of my dear friends (thanks Linda) told me about Angel Food Ministries. This is a food coop. It was AWESOME!!!!!!!!! It is NOT for the needy, but for anyone who EATS! The prices are so great. I felt like a discount queen. For $30 I got all the food below. I ordered it last week and picked it up this week at the YWCA. The man even carried it all to my car. Thanks buddy! Check out my goodies. They have a lot of other things you may also purchase, but the basic package for $3o is below. You CANNOT go to even Aldi & purchase all that for $30. I am a happy girl right now! The website where you can order your food is Angel Food Ministries. They have these coops all over the country. Every month the menu is different. I am totally psyched about this. If you have any other questions just let me know. Click on the link below to see if they have it in your town. (Hey Dottie, There are a bunch in Mooresville!)

Yes, it is a neat program. I look into it from time to time.

So sorry Lonnie lost his job. Just remember that help is out there. (Why wouldn't he get unemployment?)
